Whether you have never held a crochet hook in your hand before or you used to crochet and are returning to it again, our Learn to Crochet class is right for you. In this class, you will learn how to chain and how to make single crochet and double crochet stitches. You will use these to crochet practice pieces during class.

Participants need to purchase or bring the following supplies when they come to class:

• 1 skein of Cascade 220 or 220 Superwash yarn

• Size H (5.0mm) or I (5.5mm) crochet hook

• Scissor

Description:

In its simplest form, spinning is a way to make your own yarn. More than that, though, it is an opportunity to design and create your own “ewe-nique” yarn from an incredible variety of fibers and colors, textures and techniques.

Bring your own wheel, or reserve one of our wheels for use during the class. Spinning on a drop spindle will be discussed briefly, and private classes are available for spindlespinning. However, the focus of this class is wheel spinning.

Spinning is a relaxing, inspiring and fulfilling art form. Join us, learn to spin, and find out for yourself!

Participants need to purchase or bring the following supplies when they come to class:

• 4 ounces of wool fiber (come a few minutes early to buy the recommended fiber, instructor will help)

Optional items participants can bring to class if they have them:

• Spinning wheel in good working condition

  • If you don’t own a wheel, our spinning wheels are available for you to use during the classes.
