We'll cover everything you need to know to get started with colorwork, including:
Reading a Knitting Chart: We'll demystify charts and teach you how to translate a visual pattern into a beautiful knitted design.
Managing Two Colors: Learn the secrets to handling two strands of yarn at once, ensuring your stitches are even and your work doesn't pucker. We'll explore different yarn-holding techniques to find the one that works best for you.
Controlling Tension and Floats: Discover how to maintain consistent tension to create a smooth fabric and how to "trap" or manage the strands of yarn (floats) that travel across the back of your work.
By the end of the class, you'll have a great start on your hat and the confidence to explore a whole new world of colorful knitting projects!
