Ready to expand your rigid heddle weaving skills? Adding a second heddle opens up new possibilities, including finer setts, double-width cloth, and intricate pattern work. In this two-part workshop, you will learn double-heddle setup and weaving techniques while creating a versatile sampler to showcase your new skills.

Class Structure

  • Session 1: Setup & Warping – Master direct warping for two heddles, threading techniques, and tensioning your loom correctly.

  • Session 2: Weaving & Fabric Manipulation – Learn how to follow double-heddle charts, manage your sheds, and weave a sampler exploring various textures and patterns.

Materials Needed:
Rigid heddle loom with double heddle block at least 10” wide,

2- 10 dent reeds ( these must match,) 2 pick up sticks and 2 stick shuttles. 4 balls of Bamboo Cotton DK, 2 Light and 2 Dark solid colors (no multi colors please)
