We'll be working with two shuttles and a unique combination of chunky and fingering weight yarns. This provides a wonderful opportunity to see how different yarn weights can interact to create a rich and interesting surface. You'll master the technique of managing two shuttles and learn how to create a stunning, textural effect that's both visually appealing and a joy to weave.
This class is perfect for weavers who are comfortable with the basics of their rigid heddle loom and are ready to expand their skills. You can bring your own rigid heddle loom to class or use one of ours. Come prepared to experiment and leave with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind woven piece!
Students will not finish this project in class. Students can use their own loom or a store loom and finish in store on a 2nd day if needed.
Students will need to purchase materials prior to the class. 1 ball of Berroco’s Wizard, Chunky Yarn plus 1 skein Cascade’s Heritage, fingering weight yarn. Both will be used in both the warp and weft.
