Learn To Spin on A Wheel

In its simplest form, spinning is a way to make your own yarn. More than that, though, it is an opportunity to design and create your own “ewe-nique” yarn from an incredible variety of fibers and colors, textures and techniques.

Bring your own wheel, or reserve one of our wheels for use during the class. Spinning on a drop spindle will be discussed briefly, and private classes are available for spindlespinning. However, the focus of this class is wheel spinning.

Spinning is a relaxing, inspiring and fulfilling art form. Join us, learn to spin, and find out for yourself!

Participants need to purchase or bring the following supplies when they come to class:

(Please arrive a few minutes early to purchase your materials.

  • 4 ounces of wool fiber (come a few minutes early to buy the recommended fiber, instructor will help)

Optional items participants can bring to class if they have them:

  • Spinning wheel in good working condition

    • If you don’t own a wheel, our spinning wheels are available for you to use during the classes.
