Overshot on a Rigid Heddle

Overshot on a Rigid Heddle

Type: Technique

Length: 4 hours

Instructor: Staff

Class Fee: $50

Description:

In its simplest form – overshot is a weaving technique that utilizes at least 2 different types of weft yarns and floats to create a pattern. The name overshot possibly comes from the way the weft β€œshoots” over the plain weave (ground weft) to create decorative floats using a pick up stick. In this class we will have lots of fun playing with different patterns and reading charts.

In this class we will be weaving a pattern sampler in coasters!
