Description:

Welcome to Log Cabin Weaving! Although its just plain weave, the log cabin technique uses color changes to make a beautiful fabric. Using horizontal and vertical stripes, any weaver can create unique patterns within this color and weave family. It is a completely reversable fabric that uses 2 color in both the warp and the weft. Students will learn how to design a pattern, warp and weave this complex “looking” woven structure within this class.


Participants need to purchase or bring the following supplies when they come to class:

(Please arrive a few minutes early to purchase your materials.)

2 contrasting colored skeins of a DK/Worsted weight yarn 300 Yards of Color A and 300 of color B

Yarn can be purchased right before the class.

Participants may also bring the following supplies to class:

  • Pen and paper for notes


Please register for all classes at least 24 hours in advance.
Unless specified, materials are not included in the cost of class.
