Learn To Knit

Description: Whether you have never held a pair of knitting needles in your hand before, you used to knit and are returning to it again, or you know how to knit and want to learn to purl, our Learn to Knit class is right for you. In this class, you will learn the knitted cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and a basic bind off. You will use these to knit practice swatches in garter stitch pattern and in stockinette stitch pattern. Best of all, Learn to Knit sessions will be offered several times a month, so you can take the one that works best for your schedule and repeat the class if you need a refresher on these techniques.
Participants need to purchase or bring the following supplies when they come to class:

1 skein of Cascade 220 or 220 Superwash 100% wool yarn
US Size 8 (5.0mm) Addi Natura 24”circular needle
(If student requires non-wool substitute, please let staff member know)
Please register for all classes at least 24 hours in advance.
Unless specified, materials are not included in the cost of class.
